Frequently Asked Questions

Questions?

Never been to therapy before? Not sure what to expect? I’ve broken down some of the most common questions below.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out!

How will I know that you’re the right fit for me?

I fully respect that finding the right therapist for you is a process. It’s crucial to your care that you feel supported, not judged, and met with authenticity. It’s important to me that I can best support you. I offer a free consultation to give you a sense of who I am and my approach, but it can often take a few sessions with a therapist to get a better feel for fit. Feel free to use this space to ask any questions about my approach or about the therapeutic process with me.

How long will I need therapy?

It depends on your individual needs and goals. Therapy can be geared short-term for a few sessions or longer-term for a few months and beyond. Through collaborating with me, we can figure out what works best for you.

How often should we meet for therapy?

While I recommend the typical frequency of weekly or biweekly for most individuals to maintain consistency, it is dependent on your need and progress made toward goals. What’s most important is supporting you in this process.

How much do sessions cost?

I charge $180 for a 50-minute session.

All major credit & debit cards in addition to HSA/FSA are accepted through a HIPAA-compliant payment method called IvyPay.

Do you accept insurance?

For Pennsylvania residents, I accept Quest Behavioral Health.

For other insurances, I am an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide you with a superbill (a detailed invoice) that you may submit to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement.

If you’re using your out-of-network benefits, here are a few questions to ask your insurance provider about your benefits:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible? How much of my deductible has been met?

  • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

  • What is the process for submitting claims?
